CEA on LOC – Career Pathways Fellows Program

Through interactive training and experiential learning, participants strengthen their ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, navigate workplace expectations, and take ownership of their professional development.

CEA Enterprise implemented the Career Pathways Fellows Program through the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP), supporting young adults in developing the professional skills, confidence, and practical experience needed to prepare for employment and future career opportunities.

The program provided opportunities for young people to build workplace skills, strengthen professional relationships, and prepare for future education and employment pathways.

Program Focus Areas

Career Readiness & Professional Development

Resume development, interview preparation, professional communication, workplace expectations, and career exploration.

Leadership & Collaboration

Teamwork, problem-solving, conflict resolution, relationship-building, and professional boundaries.

Personal & Financial Readiness

Time management, goal setting, workplace ethics, financial literacy, and informed decision-making.

Experiential Learning

Opportunities to apply new skills through group activities, practical exercises, employer engagement, and other program experiences.
